Rehabilitation

The rehabilitation services provide an integrated therapeutic approach to the care of residents that includes Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies utilizing the team concept. Services are designed to educate and rehabilitate our patients and their care-givers, thereby improving their quality of life.

Our team of therapists provides individuals who have suffered from strokes, fractures, heart disease, joint replacements or other conditions as a result of injury or illness the opportunity for recovery. Our outpatient program allows patients to go home and return for therapy, while continuing to maximize the skills they have learned.

Physical Therapy services are designed to restore function by regaining mobility, relieving pain and rebuilding confidence in functional skills.

Occupational Therapy is designed to return individuals to their normal activities of daily living. The scope of these services includes muscle re-education and re-training in activities of daily living such as self care, hygiene, grooming, dressing, cooking, feeding, leisure or work-related tasks.

Speech Therapy provides treatment for individuals who are having difficulty communicating effectively or having a decreased ability to swallow food due to an illness or injury. Our Speech Therapist will work on swallowing techniques as well as help with cognition and comprehension.

All treatment programs are based on a physician referral and formal assessments, and are tailored to the individual’s needs and personal goals.

The team will monitor and work to ensure that residents receive a quality oriented rehab program. We encourage family and significant others to participate with us and help to assist in your recovery.
